Due to very challenging conditions this morning the blog images today are purely for record.
An early start to catch the tide today but the heavy cloud and very poor visibility meant that the shooting parameters were well and truly off kilter. There were a group of around seven porpoise feeding well at the edge of the tide race with a number gannets in attendance. Several other individuals were observed further out so a good spread of animals approaching the top of the tide. Something caught my eye off to the left of the lookout and it turned out to be a very brief sighting of a single Risso's dolphin. So brief in fact that I barely managed to get the lens hurriedly on target but again the conditions only allowed for a less than perfect image but a record all the same. Better images tomorrow I hope.
