A beautiful morning again and thankfully a lot warmer than yesterday. Sightings started quickly as the tide stated to flood showing several porpoise moving to the NE with the flow. I was hopeful that they would turn at some point and head back against the tide when the tide race formed. I think I was lucky as when the tide race got going there were a good number of porpoise moving back to the SW feeding as they went. I'd guess around twenty in total with a good number of them foraging and feeding for a good hour or so. Holly had brought our two new interns Odette and Elora out for a full survey and to show them how to operate the cameras and we were also joined by Sea Trust friend Kieth who saw more porpoise in this session than he had ever seen so a bonus for him. Nice to have your company Kieth and hopefully we'll see you out there again soon. Three marked porpoise today, one being Denty our most commonly seen animal, Biscuit with it's two fin notches and another with a single fin notch but too far away for instant ID so will have to wait for catalogue comparison for certainty. Other sightings were a mating lunge, a seal with a large wrasse and a gull nearly taken out by a diving gannet.
