Strumble Diary 06/10/2019

A quiet start to the session with little in the way of sightings for the first hour. One porpoise to that point but only seen briefly. This was to be the way for most of the morning and as the tide race built so did the swells turning the scene before us into a washing machine. Only fleeting glimpses of three more porpoise but getting toward the end of the session the gannets appeared and they were following a small group of common dolphin which were feeding out to the NE in the tide race. This too was all over quickly and within ten minutes they too had moved off. One constant through the session was this big old seal bottling and having a snooze just below the lookout for at least two hours.
