Between 15:15 &15:30, a pod of porpoises, sighted off bird hide north of rocks @ Strumble, sighted a number surfacing & diving, can’t say how many exactly.

As Martin included his phone number I decided to give him a bell to see if i could get a better idea of what he had seen. Sue who had also been with him, answered the phone. Sue told me that although they were used to seeing the Bottlenose Dolphins at Mwnt and as these were smaller, they took them to be porpoises. She mentioned they had been breaching a lot, which then led me to think they might well have been Common Dolphins which are also noticeably smaller than Bottles, From her description I think they were probably Common Dolphins,Its never easy at distance and in poor light, either way really pleased they got in touch!
