Strumble Diary 29/07/2020

A much calmer day today and with reasonable light I was hopeful of a good session. Joined by Adrian R and later by Cliff we settled in for the session as the tide race formed on the rising tide. Several porpoise were spotted well north of the lookout and as in past days that's where they mainly stayed. More were seen streaking through the tide race in chase of prey with lots of dash and splash barely showing a fin tip as they sped through. Various birds were observed including Med gulls, a distant Skua, a Grey Heron and much to Cliff's excitement a big metal bird that buzzed us as it rounded the head at around 300ft. For info it was an Airbus Military, Atlas C.1 A400 transporter.
