Strumble Diary 16/03/2021

The stiff winds and biting cold have thankfully left us for a while. High cloud with a light northerly wind greeted us this morning providing good light and sea conditions. When I arrived Holly was there with volunteers Hanna, Anna and Telva.  It wasn't long before the first porps started coming in to feed as the tide race developed. At one stage we had around fifteen individual animals feeding in front of us. As the tide race increased in strength they were being pushed back to the west leaving just a couple foraging between the lighthouse and Mackerel Point. These were showing well and gave some excellent photo ops. All in all a good session and with the high pressure building let's hope it continues for the week ahead.
