Despite the light northerly wind it was a stunning morning at Strumble as witnessed by the first photo below. The sun had the warmth of a spring morning and the Rock Pippits and Stonechats were singing away. I was right at the start of the ebb flow tide race and hoping for a good session. It was a while before the first sighting off to the west with the Gannets pointing out the porpoise for me. But sadly it was out to the west they stayed in the main with only a few venturing further east as far as the lookout. With only eight to ten animals in total it was not as good as expected. That's wildlife for you but there's always tomorrow.
