Strumble Diary 21/03/2021

Although the north wind was lighter today it was no less cold than of late. Even with a bit of sunshine I'm sure it still felt colder than what the forecast said it would be. Small tides though meant a weak tide race and the possibility of not so many Porpoises coming in to feed. I needn't have worried though as it turned out to be a reasonable session. First on the scene were a small group of Common Dolphin about six in all. The sighting was very brief and I only managed one shot as one breaching re-entered the water. Steadily through the session Porpoise showed up but in small numbers. The commons put in a few more appearances too so got some better shots as time went on. Holly and the Sunday volunteers arrived midway through my session so as the tide race died away I made for home and left them to catch the last of the flood tide action. One marked animal today not sure if it's already in the catalogue or if it's a new one.
