Strumble Diary 26/03/2021

I managed two sessions today with an 8 O'clock start. A near gale force N' Westerly greeted me on arrival which also meant that the porps would be active in the large swells. They were indeed and when they did come in were feeding vigorously against the dropping tide. About twelve animals in total for that session with two marked individuals providing that element of satisfaction for my mornings efforts.

By the time I returned after lunch the wind had backed to the SW and strengthened somewhat. As the tide rose, the water off the lookout became very confused and choppy. Of course this is where the porpoise decided they would feed making sighting and shooting an extreme challenge. Only about six animals and the action was all over in some forty minutes as if someone had flicked a switch and they were gone. The skies darkened shortly after that so I called it a day and headed home for a welcome cuppa.

Finished off with a nice rainbow.
