A good start to the day weatherwise and I was hoping to get two sessions in. Sadly circumstances changed and as it went I was grateful to get an early morning ebb tide session in the camera so to speak. On site by 07.45am with the sun rising and at least the porpoise were up and about. They didn't make things easy for me though as they sped through the tide race darting this way and that making it very hard to track and catch. On top of that they were really teasing as they came up took one breath and submerged again. As they are on the surface for less than a second you can imagine how frustrating it can be at times. I had to be on the top of my game to get any decent shots so I was very pleased to get some relatively decent shots of a marked animal for the ID project. The rest of the day wen't downhill after that but that's another story.
