Somewhat frustrating views of cetaceans off Caldey Island yesterday and
today (20th and 21st).Around 10 animals both days I think. Yesterday to the West of St Margaret’s
and this evening off the eastern end of Caldey.
A long way off through the scope but feeding for some time on both
occasions.
Probably Porpoise but I kept thinking the fins were too long and hooked so
perhaps Dolphin spp.
Nice to see and given I saw Porpoise a couple of weeks ago off Caldey
perhaps a pod is regularly in this area.
Much closer clearer views this morning. A pod of 6-8 Bottlenose, some
smaller animals presumably calves, some nice breaches
