Firstly thanks to Richard Crossen for his contribution from his pelagic trip on the Celtic Wildcat and for his comments on my Thresher shot. Appreciated Richard.
So to today's survey. The wind was strong and from the west so was straight into the tide which made the seas very lumpy indeed. There were a good number of porpoise feeding in the tide race (around 20 for the session) but the seas coupled with their eratic darting around made things quite difficult. Most sightings were just brief as they came up to breath with the seas seeming to keep them mostly hidden, as in this first image. The shots I did get are not the best but a record of their presence all the same.
