Strumble Diary 18/10/21

 Visit to Strumble on Sunday afternoon

 

15:30 Three or 4 porps in the tide race 500 meters north of lookout. Little else apart from a report of couple of passing gannets

 

16:15 Two seals in very close to the beach at Porthsychan

 

17:30 Had livened up on the return trip from Porthsychan. Despite the presence at 16:45 to 17:00 of four jet skis jumping the tide race about 1 km off Pen Caer / Carrreg Gybi by 17:30, 12 to 15 gannets were  feeding enthusiastically about 750m to the East of the lookout, below the gannets was a pod of 8 to 10 common dolphins also feeding in the tide race.
