Hi Cliff,
Good to see you today, if only briefly.

The Common Dolphin were still showing well when I got there. I estimated about 70, most of which were actively feeding, widely spread across the tide race. They were constantly drifting west, where they disappeared from view after a good 45 minutes. But I also had a seperate group of 8, including one decent sized calf, that initially drove their prey up against the rocks below the lighthouse and then turned east, still in pursuit, to cross right in front of me close in (some photos attached). They were still feeding distantly to the east when I left. Although they may have been present before, I only picked up porpoise (3-4) after the main dolphin group had moved on.

Best encounter I’ve had with CD at Strumble! Hope to get back again later in the week.
Regards
Andrew
