Happy St Patrick's day to all our Irish friends out there.
The walk to the clifftop above the point proved worthwhile again today. A sunny morning with a brisk SW'ly to start but building cloud through the morning tainted things a bit. One porpoise travelling East to West early on then nothing for over an hour as the ebb flow got underway. A slow but steady procession of porpoise came in later and were feeding well in the race off the point. A few marked animals for the Fin ID project including (again) the well marked porp as seen in my previous post. Delighted this time to be able to capture both sides which will allow us to recognise it in future regardless of direction of travel. I came away a happy camper with better than expected results so let's hope tomorrow brings as good or better results.
