At last the cold E-NE winds have given way to a W-SW air flow that means things are a lot more comfortable over at the point. The air was quite still and the visibility excellent for the morning session on the dropping tide. Shortly after arriving I got my first sight of a porpoise moving east with the tide and settling to forage fifty or so metres out. A succession of sightings followed over the next few hours and the appearance of a previously seen distinctively marked animal made the session worthwhile. Also caught a flock of 9 Whimbrel flying by heading toward fishguard bay.
