Humpback whale breaching northwest of Strumble. Close to the horizon, from high on the hill, so very far out. Seen breaching 3 times at 9:00 and not seen since, think the light was wrong to see any blows.
I was on a stroll looking for adders along the coast path, taking a break from sea watching, only had my binoculars on me. Went back to the car for the scope but probably too low down to spot it from the shelter and car park.
Lots of common dolphins and porpoises about too.
