Strumble Diary 10/04/2023 Easter Monday

Today as we do most Easter bank holiday's we held our porpoise picnic and egg roll. While cliff will most probably post later I'll concentrate on the "Porpoise" bit.

I arrived at the start of the ebb flow about an hour before the picnic and roll were due to start. A few brief sightings to start and then things picked up well. A good string of sightings with some twenty animals in total through the two hours of the event. Some showed well but briefly while others were very stealthy only being observed underwater in the large swells whipped up by a very strong southerly wind.

It was nice to see faces old and new including one of Sea Trust's most ardent supporters Mr John Rees of Cardigan along with daughter Rhian. Great to meet up again John and I'm sure we'll get some good sessions in together in the warmer months ahead.

All that attended including those visitors who just happened to be there enjoyed the sight of our little porpoises and both children and adults enjoyed the eg rolling.
