Nice little Boat trip at Newquay! (thanks Steve!)

The weather was looking fine for Saturday on Friday night so I thought I would give my old mate Steve Hartley a bell and see if there was any chance of a boat trip with him. "Yep I will book you in for the 11.15" SORTED!

So we roll up at Newquay about ten o clock and it is already heaving with holiday makers. The sea front car parks are rammed not a single space to be had, so back round and up the hill to the one above the town...Car parked and down the hill to the harbour. we chat to a couple of Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre Volunteers on the harbour wall who tell us there are dolphins hanging around the corner off the Fish Factory.

At 11. 15 we join other passengers and board Steve's Catamaran "Marie Lloyd" It is hot, the first really hot day of the year and its good to get out on the boat with a gentle cooling breeze. Not long after we are approaching the Fish Factory and lo and behold Dolphins...

And they came to see us! giving some pretty excellent views!

So on we ventured and a couple of minutes later more Dolphins....

And we were not the only ones watching them...

And some more near some kyakers

So all in all a pretty good trip, a good sensitive skipper and a knowledgeable guide, an hour and a half of  Bottlenose Dolphin Heaven, Thanks again Steve!
