Sunny clear skies, but a stiff SE'ly breeze when I arrived at Strumble this morning around 08.15. The two birders in situ told of a stream of Commons passing through earlier in the day so had to let that pass sadly. As the tide race formed several porpoise came in from the west and started foraging on the near side of the tide race. I spotted a lone Rissos at distance off to the NE and just managed one shot of it's fin before it went out of sight. A small group of commons moved across from west to east but didn't stop to feed and later two commons were foraging well up the tide race. The porpoise were visible right through my session and were still there all be it at distance as I left. Estimated numbers for the session between 15-20.
