I joined the Monday survey team at 11am with Cliff also in attendance. A very quiet session over the two hours with no observations. I decided to stay on until later in the rising tide in the hopes of seeing some action. Two hours or so before high water several porpoise did come in to feed and I had reasonably good views over the next hour or so. I also spotted a distant Sunfish trying it's best to get a Gannet to renmove it's parasites, an act usually performed by gulls. The Gannet was quite bemused by the whole affair as the Sunfish swam around it several times turning on it's side occasionaly but all was in vain. Sunfish should have gone to Specsavers :0)
A bit of bird action also with this Grey Heron and a few Sandwich Terns.
