Strumble Diary 06/10/2023

Very cloudy today giving poor light conditions with a Westerly wind less strong than of late. Small tides at present so I wasn't expecting to see many if any porpoise today. I was really hoping to get onto some Rissos as I've been missing out of late especially as yesterday the survey team had them breaching in front of the lookout.

Two hours in and nothing to show for it but then four porpoise distant but there at least. They foraged around for 30 minutes or so, showing intermittently then moved off to the west. Another 30 minutes or so passed by then the big fins arrived. Coming in very slowly from the west giving ample time for some images in the now flat dull light. But hey ho as they say you get what you get and have to make the best of it. Thankfully I have the means to do that with the software I use so all good in the end.
