Well, Happy New Year to you all. With the first break in the weather in a while we were able to carry out our first survey of the new year today. Volunteer Andy and myself were there early and had spotted a number of porpoise plus two Common Dolphin before the rest of the team arrived. The survey proper got underway around 11:15am, well into the rising tide. It wasn't a big tide so we were surprised but delighted to see so many animals around. At a guess I'd say 20-25 for the session but just a guestimate really. For the number of sightings there was a high proportion of full breaches with several seen and two captured on camera by both myself and Carrie, so we'll start and finish today's images with the breaching shots.
