Strumble Diary 14/09/2024

I arrived right at the bottom of the tide with a stiff SW wind blowing, broken cloud and sunshine above. Wrong time for Porpoise I know, especially on very small tides, but to be truthful I was more hoping for some Rissos sightings on the rising tide. Things were very quiet in all respects and even the bird life was poor as we often see in that period between tides. No Rissos or Porpoise I'm afraid but as in the previous days the Commons saved the day. A couple of odd distant sightings and then a pod of around a dozen or so came accross our view. One of our local Choughs gave good views while foraging in the rock/grass margins below the lookout.
