Conditions for photography at Strumble this morning were abismal to say the least. At least the rain had moved on, but in it's wake left a very thick haze. On a very small tide I wasn't expecting much but as I arrived (09.15) I could just about see porpoise off the lighthouse. The tide race didn't amount to much but several porpoise did show up staying mostly on the far side of the tide race off the lighthouse. Less than two hours later the tide race had died away and so had the porpoise with my last sighting seeing four of them rounding Mackerel point and heading in toward Fishguard Bay.
This first unprocessed image shows the hazy conditions off the lighthouse this morning.
