A shorter than normal session today as I had things I needed to do. I arrived around 1.30ish and met Harry and Zoe who had been on the earlier survey. They had seen distant porpoise and a pod of Commons closer in. The first half hour of my session was quiet with no sightings at all, but then I spotted a trio of porpoise close in passing through. They kept me busy for a couple of minutes and then taking my eye off these I noticed the Gannets were gathering further out. Sure enough there were Commons under them very spread out and feeding well. Over a period of about ten minutes they gradually moved further out, I'd guess following fish shoals. By now it was 3.15pm and with no time to stay further I made my way back to the Ocean Lab where one of the camera lenses was in need of my attention.
