THE BRUINVIS SEASAFARI!

Something a bit different this morning... extended SeaSafari with a Dutch youth group (a group of 35 staying in Pembs for a 2 week nature field trip/summer camp)....and also joined by Marine Mammal Observer, Malcolm Barrundel. The porpoise (or as we learned, Bruinvis, in Dutch) put in an appearance, with several animals (possibly 5 or 6 including a calf) showing well all around us at Pen Anglas, much to the groups excitement! We traveled past Newport headland, but no more cetaceans..... Birding of note was a Common Sandpiper near Needle Rock, and another visit from the (same?) Seal cow in Lower town as we headed in..... Some of the group got some pics of the Porpoise and will post over when they get chance (they cycled to Lower Town and were carrying on South into the County for the day).......
