Sea Trust Stena (north) survey May

The Sea Trust team, Dr Tony Gallon accompanied by David Williams, completed the return crossing  aboard the Stena Superfast X on Monday 25th May.  Conditions were pretty good with calm seas and good visibility.
With a total of 12 porpoise sightings and two separate Minke whale sightings , one out bound and one inbound, sightings were much better than on the April survey which was also performed in near ideal conditions but only produced a single porpoise and one seal.
Tony speculates that the Minke whale sightings were possibly of the same animal as they occurred in the same general vicinity.
Thanks as ever to the Stena team in Holyhead, Officers and Crew of the Stena Superfast X  for their continued and generous support!
