Apache and Ringo go Surfing

Well it's taken a while but I'm nearly there with the new lens and the results are getting better all the time. Today I spent a couple of hours on the breakwater watching Apache and Ringo foraging and playing off the harbour mouth. No real action until the range boat approached. I watched as they turned and homed in on it while it was about a quarter mile off. They didn't rush as they sometimes do to bow ride the ferry but a steady pace brought them to it a few hundred metres off. Ringo was having a ball and breached several times while Apache seemed content to feel the rush of the bow wave while rolling in it's surf. The crew were ready and had a great view so I suspect this is a regular treat for them.
