Strumble Diary 31/08/2017

A repeat of yesterday pretty much with a light NW breeze a slight chop and bright sunshine. First in the lens were a very quickly moving small group of Commons of which I managed to capture one animal. A long spell of no action followed as did the arrival of Cliff. As the ferry passed us it was a chance to get a shot or two of Team Sea Trust carrying out survey work from the bridge wing of the Stena Europe nearly two miles away, a great test for the (Beast) lens. As the tide race formed the porps started to come in and we observed several calves with mothers close by foraging as they moved through. Sightings were frequent but they were not showing as well as we'd have liked. As the race dwindled away so did the sightings and we called it a day around 3pm.
