Strumble Diary 09/05/2018

Back to the overcast gloomy skies this morning but still worth a trip out. I arrived near the bottom of the tide which is never ideal but the porps were there. Showing very poorly at first with the first twelve or so barely breaking surface as they moved through the tide race. A few were showing better beyond Mackerel point and later off to the west a group of four to five showed for a short time as the last of the ebb tide pushed through. I caught one returning marked animal and to our delight later in the morning on the rising tide Holly and the volunteers also caught the same animal in a better view than I managed so another good record for the Fin ID Project.
