Another day and another trip to the outer breakwater on the lookout for bottlenose. As I arrived at the gate Stevo, Tony & the Lucas family were just leaving. No sightings in the hour they were there was the report. Not to worry I said jokingly I'm here now. I drove on and as I headed along the breakwater the telltale large grey fins of bottlenose were visible at the breakwater's end. Sure enough one of the pairs that were there yesterday were there again just swimming around enjoying the calmer water away from the wind blown waves directly off the end. They stayed around a while and mother and calf even played together for a while but alas his/her playmate of yesterday was nowhere to be seen. As the ferry departed they seemed to shy away and moved off in the direction of Pen Anglas. I lost sight of them for a good ten minutes but saw them really going for it obviously feeding off Crincoed Point. I moved to get closer but by the time I got by the Cow and Calf they had moved on. Well see what tomorrow brings.
