Strumble Diary 27-04-2019

My sort of day today as storm Hannah moved over us giving a WSW wind and pushing up 10-15ft swells. Myself, Lloyd and Hannah (not the stormy one) arrived just after 11am and set up for what we hoped would be a good session. I love these swells as they usually encourage the porpoise to come further out of the water to breath and provide more dynamic images. Sightings were slow at first with only the odd animal showing very briefly and proving very hard if not impossible to capture in camera. As we approached high tide the action picked up with several animals coming in to feed. We spotted a mother and calf pair with the calf most probably one of last year's as it was quite well developed. Even the seals were fighting the swells as can be seen in the images below.
