Strumble Diary 28/04/2019

The rain forecast for us today didn't really materialise except for a few light spatters after noon. So I made the journey to Strumble hoping for good viz and acceptable light. I got both so was happy and just needed some porpoise. The odd one or two showed up and the first one I captured was a marked animal so I was happy again. I was joined by several visitors and was delighted to be able to give them all a talk on our wonderful porps and the habitat that's so important to them. Two I had met at new year and it's so nice when they come back again to enjoy the wildlife and wonderful views at Strumble.The marked porpoise kept popping up through the session along with some twenty or so others by my estimation. It may be one we've seen before but only when it's matched against the catalogue will we know for sure. All in all a good session for a small tide and let's hope tomorrow is as good.
