Strumble Diary 07/08/2019

I arrived just shortly before the tide race formed and reports from those already present were of three porpoise sighted some thirty minutes earlier. As the race formed the porpoise moved in. Mostly far out at first, but were soon moving up against the tide and presenting themselves well in most cases. Good numbers indeed and at one stage we had some fifteen to twenty animals spread along the race feeding well with lots of dash and splash. Overall I'd guess at around thirty five to forty so an excellent session with good weather as well which makes a change.
