Strumble Diary 17/02/2020

It's so much nicer sea watching when the sun is shining. After the gale ridden overcast days of late it was a pleasant change to have much better light during today's survey. Arriving about 11 ish this morning the porpoise were just starting to come in on a by now faster moving current. Again they were feeding deep leaving extended periods between sightings. Shortly after midday Fran arrived with Astrid and Carrie the Monday crew. They were soon on to our little surfers as they sped through the large swells now running accross our view. The action persisted for another 1 1/2 hrs which for the volunteers was a bonus as their sessions have been pretty bare of late. So all in all another good session for numbers and some pleasing sunlit images as well. A win all round!!
