Strumble Diary 17/10/2020

It's been a while but glad to be able to get out today on a lovely sunny morning. With an Easterly wind and very big tides I wasn't expecting to see large numbers of porpoise and so it turned out. I sighted seven all together but only managed pics of three of them. The tide was ripping through like the Orinoco which usually pushes any porpps that are there well out to the west quite quickly. On the bird front I counted 68 Scoter and had a lovely view of a greater spotted woodpecker with it's bright red plumage flashing past the lookout.
