The late shift arrived at about 2 pm, (Me, the Walrus) and spent a frustrating hour and a half getting odd glimpses of distant porpoises on the edge of the making tide well beyond the lighthouse. after an hour and a half I gave up and had a chat with another chap Nick, up at the car Park who had a scope. As we chatted Nick spotted something that eventually resolved into Risso's Nicks partner Alison (?) also spotted another small pod. Another couple, Chris and Anne(?) got on to them (sorry if names wrong my memory is like a seive) The Risso;s were possibly spooked by a yacht that had just sailed by and were not showing very well but i did manage to get a couple of record shots!
