Strumble Diary More from the point.

A beautiful day out there on the clifftops today. Calm seas, Blue sky and a light wind. What more could I ask for? Porpoise I suppose. Well, they were there in good numbers so happy days as they say. Given the calm waters I could see animals all around the tide race with several coming reasonably close to the point throughout the session. One marked animal today (last three porpoise images) and one that we're seeing quite a bit of lately with it's distinctive markings. Not yet named but I'm sure Holly will have it catalogued and named pretty soon. Sadly I missed the Thursday survey team led by Fran as I hadn't realised they were a little further around the headland and out of my view and I only saw them as they were returning at the end of their survey.

On a slightly different note for those of you interested in our coastal flowers, the Spring Squill and the Cowslips are really showing well now. I've included a couple of shots of the Squill and on my next visit I'll bring a wider angle lens and try and capture the magnificent show near where I do my surveys.
