Storm Agnes
I do love a good storm and Agnes was certainly that. Being just south of west in direction it didn't create the really big swells we'd get with a NW'er but it was potent none the less. I got to Strumble before the winds reached their maximum and was delighted to see some porps moving through the tide race. Only a few but the brave little souls were there. An hour or so in and the wind had really got up and was whipping up the seas turning the tide race into a tempest. In the height of this a lone Chough landed in front of the lookout looking as if it needed a rest from the buffeting it was getting from deal old Agnes. I've included a few shots taken over the sea and I'm sure you'll see it was almost impossible to pickout porpoise in all that turmoil.
