What a day at the lookout today. So many people with a larger than usual survey team, a contingent from Newquay with Andy Wise, Dan Abbot (Shark Man Dan) myself and three very dedicated chaps from the National parks installing the new interpretation panels. Gone are the old artist impressions and in their place fourteen photographic and descriptive panels showing off the wildlife and surroundings we all know so well but others can now enjoy as well even if at the time the real critters are absent.
This has been a collaboration between Sea Trust Wales involving Holly Dunn our former project officer and now Manager (consultation) and myself Ken Barnett (Photographic images) and the PCNP via Rhowan Alleyne and their graphics department. I am personally thrilled to have been involved and to see my images amounting to around 70%-80% of the image content vindicates the thousands of hours of time spent over the years helping Sea Trust amass a wealth of world leading data and helping educate the hords of visitors that visit Strumble each year. Below are a few images of three of the panels as a taster but I would advise a visit to Strumble to get the full effect. It is a truly inspirational and educational display bringing the old WW2 Station B into the modern era.
