Strumble Diary 23/05/2024

With a brisk wind from the NNW at Strumble today and a strong dropping tide conditions on the water were washing machine like to say the least. A lot of turbulence and chop made spotting porpoise very challenging and photographing them even more so. A fin here, a dash there and then only surfacing once to breath and gone again, so frustrating. But there we have it. The life of a wildlife photographer eh? One day you're basking in sunshine and shooting away to you're hearts content, the next you're struggling to even see them. There were a good number about dashing this way and that but so hard to capture. I only managed a few shots for the whole session and was even photo bombed by a seagull in one shot, but hey ho tomorrow is another day as they say. On the plus side I did manage a shot of a passing Kestrel which I was pleased with.
