Strumble Diary 22/10/2024

Out at 09.30 to catch the last quarter of the rising tide. Shortly after my arrival a small pod (10ish) of commons passed by close in. This was followed by sporadic sightings all through the morning, mostly more distant. The Tuesday survey team joined me later in the morning and they got to see several of the groups of commons also. I would guess the total to have  been between 70-100. Sadly no porpoise again for this survey but as we come down off the very big tides of the past few days hopefully that will change soon. In the air I spotted Merlin, twice. Brent Geese 5, and a cracking Buzzard on the way home.
