Life From the Ledge
Another beautiful morning at Strumble today. As I arrived there were Commons distant in the remains of the flood tide tide race with several Gannets in attendance overhead. There were also two porpoise well off to the NE beyond mackerel point. Things were quiet then until the ebb flow got underway and the porpoise started moving in. Things were going along nicely with steady sightings in the tide race giving me a few decent shots. However, a single common dolphin moved in and the porpoise melted away until a half hour later the common moved off and a couple of porpoise showed again. By this time the tide had dropped significantly and all the action was now down well beyond the lighthouse and out of my range.
Session 09.40-12.50. Sea state 2. Wind NE 2-3. Clear sky. Vis Excellent.
