Strumble Diary 17/05/2025

Another beautiful day as I arrived at Strumble. On the approach I could see porpoise well out in what was the start of the outer tide race, which hopefully bode well for a good session. I made my way down to the ledge below the lookout and set up ready for the action to start. So I waited and waited and waited some more. There were lots of porps about but all well out and seeminly not wanting or needing to come closer in. In fact the inner tide race was starting to weaken before any did come in, but when they did the action was non stop. A half hour of frantic dash and splash as they chased prey through the tide race. Then as if someone had flicked a switch it was all over and they had gone. Funny how it goes sometimes but it's  worth the few extra minutes when you think it's all done because the action can just explode when you think it's a lost cause.
