Strumble Diary 14/9/25, wild winds and commons.

Another brief 30 minute late afternoon visit just to get out of the house. A Sou-westerly gale was kcking up the tide race with big standing waves. In among these big standng waves a scattered pod of maybe forty+ Common Dolphins were crashing through them, an epic example of how we humans wouldnt stand a chance out there in what for them was more like a playground! An exhilarating display with small groups dashing hither and thither, breaching and ploughing amid the wild water! Also some nice views of a dark phase Arctic Skua harrying groups of gulls in the calmer inshore area. All in all, Strumble at its best!
